About 200 community members from all walks of life attended The Okanagan School of the Arts open house, Monday night, at Penticton’s Shatford Centre.
At the meeting, billed as a night of creative disruption, attendees were invited to speak with board members, staff and others about a new vision for how the arts, creativity and innovation sector can become a stronger driver for economic and social well-being for our community.
OSA will use what they hear to make decisions about the future of the Shatford Centre and create a plan for arts and creativity programming that will help realize the community’s vision.
The lively open house was sponsored by Valley First, a Division of First West Credit Union.
A survey has also been created as part of OSA’s efforts to engage the community in developing a strategic plan for arts and creativity programming.
